Sass Compiler

What is this?

This is a hosted version of the standard Sass compiler you’ll find on http://sass-lang.com. Drag and drop either .sass or .scss files into the box above to have them compiled to CSS.

What is are Sass and SCSS?

Sass extends CSS3 with some badly needed features to reduce boilerplate and duplication such as variables, nested rules, and mixins. Sass has two syntaxes. Sass files have significant whitespace like you’d find in Python. Nesting is based on indentation. SCSS uses braces to delimit blocks the way standard CSS does. I prefer SCSS but they have the same features and which one you choose boils down to personal preference.
